Road Bikes

I am an avid fan of Road Bikes. When I lived out by Pedernales National State Park, biking was almost my only passion. I would spend hours out on those little trails going up and down the winding paths.
Sometimes I would use my bike to race the city bus. You see the bus made a lot of stops, so usually it would take about 40 minutes with lots of traffic and I would usually be able to go around the cars, up on the sidewalks and find ways to beat the bus all the way to downtown. Now I am out of shape, probably because I don’t have a bike anymore.
I have an idea though of where to find some good deals online for Road Bikes.

Maybe in the future we will all be riding bikes like these but for now normal bikes will suffice!

John Deere

Did you know John Deere started off his career as an inventor and designer of farming equipment mostly consisting of plows? And all along I thought he made tractors, but tractors were produced way after he was gone.
According to “Genuine Value: The John Deere Journey.” 1837 John Deere fashions a polished-steel plow. He made horse plows!

People in those days that worked for him made up to 18 dollars a week, but that was back in the year of 1855 before inflation and when it was like a couple of cents for a pint of beer or milk .

“1855: Most employees earn 58 cents to $1.50 a day. A speedy piece worker paints 180 plows at a dime each—$18.00 for a week’s work.”
Those were the good old days, everything was at a slower pace, but for farmers nowadays it pays to use a tractor instead of a horse and plow!

John Deere tractors have evolved into being cutting-edge and revolutionary. They are the most widely used globally of all tractors, most likely for their reliability.

Saddle up your horses

When I was a kid ,I always wanted to ride horses.
Since a few years ago, I have ridden many times on horses. I found that the saddle can make a huge difference in the comfort of the ride, and it will determine if you will keep your sanity throughout the whole horseback riding.
One time I rode a camel without a saddle and my butt hurt for a week. It was a great experience to know what not to do , with the fear of slipping off or hurting your back it can be quite daunting.
It is best not to leave things like saddles up to chance, it is better to buy them for a reputable seller such as this one below.

Stories told by Real People

Have you ever had a secret that you knew about someone but never told anyone, or maybe have some really good memory of something you enjoyed immensely even though it seemed a bit on the odd side or what was not considered the proper way of doing things?

I came across this website that has a few interesting stories to listen to, I didn’t get around to listen to all the stories but a couple of them. One of them was about girl who told her best friend’s well kept secret about having this thing for older men even though she is her twenties, I thought that was a swell idea of her to get on the phone and call it in, very nice of her to tell her best friend’s story, at least she did it anonymously and no one will know who her best friend is unless someone recognizes her voice, like, for example, her best friend and then her friend, she might feel a little bit slighted, but it’s all just done in good measure and in best of intentions, just as long as we all get to hear such “interesting stories”. It’s good people telling all us nice folks’ to be good sports, and tell all our stories so we too, can all benefit from those little byte sized stories, it only takes of a couple of minutes or so to listen to one, or to call in and tell your own. They are all real stories, told by real people and anyone can call in and tell their anonymous stories, nothing extremely sensationalized, just down to earth every-day stories from genuine people like you and me.

Search Engine Optimization

What is Search Engine Optimization or SEO?

According to Wikipedia, Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results or the higher it “ranks”, the more searchers will visit that site. The latest trend being Performance Based SEO.”

I have always wondered how do you ensure that when you type a keyword search on a search engine, how do you get the search engines to produce the search results you want and not the ones someone else is trying to make you look at, how do you ensure webmasters haven’t tampered with it for their own gain? I know there are people who work at Google to ensure fair play and they try to make sure search engines are optimized as much as possible.

So if for example, you are trying to get more web traffic for your company, the goal is to get your search results to come up in the top or earlier before the other search results. But how do you win the Web traffic over other webmaster’s entries? There is nothing wrong with a little bit of competition here and there and if you can win over more clients to yourself without spamming or using shady tactics, all the better for you. A lot of times though, you are up against people who don’t play fair.

Some webmasters have used malicious tactics to gain unfair advantage over their competition, they would find ways to cheat to get their search results to come out first. They have used deception such as hidden text , or another techniques such as cloaking to get more web traffic to their site, they even manipulated their rankings in search results by stuffing pages with excessive or irrelevant keywords. (Wikipedia)

Then if you pay a “small” fee to Google, Microsoft or Yahoo, they can give your search results priority. Some people deemed it to be too much unfair arbitration by the Search Engines and many people felt slighted.

Nowadays many businesses are failing miserably because they are relying too heavily on search engine web traffic for their sales and marketing their products or maybe they aren’t using shrewd tactics like the others. There’s no guarantee that you will sell your products just by paid publishing and advertising on search engines, and search engines cannot guarantee you as much web traffic to your site as before, seeing people grow constantly more weary of the heavy over-done advertising and it no longer catches their attention.

The sky is the limit when marketing a product with Search Engines, and many people around the globe have learned how to use it to their benefit. But nothing lasts forever, and with more people figuring out how to use it to their benefit, the few people who were making good money will soon be making less and people will have to figure out other ways to make money, especially if, the Search Engines don’t work for them as they used to. We can only hope that some good Search Engine Optimization gets done well and quickly. I’m sure the search engine’s web developers will always come up with ways to make it profitable for them.

My Review on http://www.checkmypc.org/

For the last few months my kids have been using our Desktop PC to play kids games online, or  chatting with friends. My question that came across my mind was; what if my kids are getting into some kind of bad website, how would I know? How do I ensure Internet Safety for my kids? And what do other  parents do to Protect Children Online?

Today I came across this website that contains  a very useful  scanning tool.
“CheckMyPC” is a simple to use application that checks computers for unwanted content.
It rapidly scans Windows XP and Windows Vista computers, identifying content that may
be questionable. Not that I want to be a mistrusting of my kids, but it never hurts to
have a little more knowledge of what they are up to. There are all kind of bad influences
out on Social Networking Websites, or maybe there are some strange people out there who are
up to no good. CheckMyPC performs thousands of checks to find content that is already on
your PC that might not be appropriate. Instead of spending hours and hours trying to
determine what is on my computer, since I don’t have much time I will get  “CheckMyPC”
to do it for me! — and  in only a matter of  minutes.

My Review on Careerleak.com

I came across this website that has some pretty good leads on how to get accessible jobs when I typed in “career information” and “job research.”
I liked the fact that the users can post the jobs with tips to how to get the job, the ins and outs of the different jobs, other factors into the equation to make job searching a pleasant task and as I read it I felt even a regular guy like me has a chance, and
that there are opportunities out there to make a decent living and honestly, it was quite straightforward and to the point. Here’s a sample of how personalized the job ads are: For :$9.75/hr plus bonus “Oil Can Henry’s is one of the few oil changers I would actually take my car to. Oil Can Henry’s invest time and money into making sure their employee’s are properly trained. I knew nothing about vehicles until I started working for them.”
